Oh gosh. I have nothing against Akron. What's Akron? But if it DID buy a house in the Cleveland burbs, it would have to be in ... Parma!(See if that flushes anyone out, since that's really the Great Cleveland Game: East Siders ragging on West Siders and, presumably, vice versa. The River One Cannot Cross.)

I thought of flying to this one, but ultimately I was too lazy. Then a few weeks later, Jerry was in a coma and boy, did I feel bad about missing it. Maybe not a Great One, but historic, and it looked like an Almost Last One there for a while.

If I recall from my law school days at Case, Parma is without a doubt the classiest of all Cleveland suburbs. (tongue in cheek, recalling my days on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights)

There ya go. Love the pink flamingos!

Want to bet that every one-time Cleveland denizen hereabouts will turn out to have lived in Coventry? (Or, alternately, Hessler St or Little Italy.) I'm not sure tie dye is allowed anywhere else :-)

It was a great neighborhood. And you're probably right about the tie-dye. lol

Do I need to repeat the Akron joke that I recently posted here?

So convenient that us Clevelanders and former Clevelanders have places like Akron and Parma to look down upon.

Well, you do know the Cleveland Tourism Board slogan, right? "Cleveland: We're Not Detroit!"

This, of course, is proof that it's way better to be from Cleveland (or Akron or Detroit) than, say, Happy Sunny Hawaii. Lots more material :-)
